The Campus Christian Fellowship Alumni Association (CCF-NIFES) of the Federal University of Technology, Akure has awarded scholarship to eleven students of the institution from various departments and levels. The need driven scholarship tagged FUTA Impact Scholarship is an initiative of Jaunty Aidamenbor, a 2003 Biochemistry alumnus of the university.

Presenting the recipients of the scholarship to the Dean, Students Affairs Division, Professor David Oke, the General Secretary, Sijuade Adeyeye said the initiative is to assist indigent students who may find it difficult paying their fees. He added that after careful consideration, the body shortlisted eleven students who were deemed qualified for the award. He said the value of the scholarship is fifty thousand naira (N50, 000) per student.

The Dean, Professor Oke expressed his delight at the gesture, saying it will go a long way to assist the beneficiaries. He added that with the current economic reality, the gesture of the body is timely to alleviate the financial challenge of the recipients. 

He said it is in the expectation  of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji , that more organisations  like CCF-NIFES alumni will regularly come to the aid of students to make them happy and support their educational pursuit.

The recipients appreciated those behind the initiative while confirming that it will go a long way in assisting them. They said it is also a lesson to them to grow with the mind of assisting people in the future. They appreciated the donor and wish them well in their endeavours.
