The Management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA has paid a condolence visit to the Family and Subjects of HRM Oba Dr Samuel Olushola Olatunji, the Olumojo of Imojo Ekiti who until his demise was a senior lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying of School of Environmental Technology of the Institution.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, represented by Professor Isaac Olaniyi Aje, Dean, of the School of Environmental Technology, stated that the death of the late Monarch was a rude shock to both students and staff of the University. Describing him as a productive researcher, erudite scholar, and lecturer. She said in his death that FUTA had lost a builder of young people and a key collaborator.
The delegation also visited the palace of Olojudo of Ido Ekiti, HRM Oba Ayorinde Ilori Faboro who is the Chairman of Ekiti State Council of Obas to pay condolence on behalf of the University.
While receiving the Vice Chancellor delegation on behalf of Olujudo of Ido Ekiti, Her Royal Majesty Eyeshorun Ngozi Ilori Faboro appreciated the Vice Chancellor for the gesture extended to the Council of Ekiti Obas in this trying moment.
She assured the delegation that the condolence message would get to the Olojudo for onward transmission to the Ekiti State Council of Obas.
