The Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA Professor Adenike Oladiji has commended the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB for the smooth conduct of the 2024 Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination UTME.
Professor Oladiji, who is also the National External Examiner for the UTME in Ondo State, expressed satisfaction at the organization of the examination after on the spot assessment of some of the Centres on Friday April 19,2024. She said procedures had been put in place to ensure that the process is seamless and to ensure that there are no hitches even during the release of results of candidates.
She said “having moved around other centres around Akure and its environs, I can categorically say that the examination is being conducted smoothly with candidates, their parents and guardians and officials adhering to rules and regulations. The FUTA Centre is well organized and its staff have been adequately trained to man the center and they are discharging their duties excellently, however there’s still room for improvement".
Corroborating her, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Ondo State Mrs. Folasade Adegoke lauded the efficient running of the examination adding that this will ensure that candidates are satisfied with the outcome of results.
She commended FUTA for its conducive facilities and was optimistic that the candidates will have a hitch free examination.
