Issues of school drop-outs, cyber crime, drug abuse, banditry, kidnapping, robbery, terrorism, domestic violence, rape, depression, suicide among others can be ameliorated if our boys and men are enlightened, educated, skilled, informed, equipped, encouraged and empowered.
Premise on this, the Center for Gender Issues in Science and Technology, FUTA will be hosting the 1st ever International Men's Day (IMD). The 19th of November every year has been earmarked for the celebration and recognition of our Men, appreciating their contributions to the development of the entire globe. Breakthroughs, Innovation and novel Achievements by the male folk are selected for recognition.
