FUTA Overview


Issues of school drop-outs,  cyber crime, drug abuse, banditry,  kidnapping, robbery, terrorism, domestic violence, rape, depression, suicide among others  can be ameliorated if our boys and men are enlightened, educated, skilled, informed, equipped, encouraged and empowered. 

Premise on this, the Center for Gender Issues in Science and Technology, FUTA will be hosting the 1st ever International Men's Day (IMD). The 19th of November every year has been earmarked for the celebration and recognition of our Men, appreciating their contributions to the development of the entire globe. Breakthroughs,  Innovation and novel Achievements by the male folk are selected for recognition.  
CEGIST therefore, invites, the general public - Professionals, Academics ( Schools & Institutions), Technocrats, Artisans, the Private Sector, Government Officials, Politicians ,NGOs and others, to join us in celebrating the achievements and contributions of the male gender to our society at the 1st International Men’s Day celebrations at the Theodore Idibiye Francis Hall on 19th of November,  2021 by 12noon. The event is part of the 40th Anniversary of FUTA and the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adeola Fuwape will be looking forward to receiving you at the event.
