FUTA, being the best Technology School in Nigeria, nurturing students on the right path of knowledge isn't only for academics, it's an institution where talents thrive and artistic works are recognized.
On Monday, 12th of February, I joined the City of Talent, FUTA Chapter in conjunction with the Nadot-Media to present a stage play titled THE WRONG CHOICE at the FUTA's 100-LEVEL ORIENTATION PROGRAM. THE WRONG CHOICE serves as a cautionary tale against the dangers of cultism, indecent dressing, prostitution and succumbing to negative peer pressure on the campus.
Pelumi, the protagonist, initially enters university with the noble intention of pursuing his education. However, he becomes ensnared by the allure of pleasure and loses sight of his goals. As a result, he veers off course and struggles to find his way back, but can't get it right because he was suspended from the institution for sitting for his cult leader's exam and the effect of the drug he adopted has a terrible effect on him.
This stage play underscores the importance of staying true to oneself, resisting negative influences, and prioritizing one's education and future over fleeting temptations.
Ultimately, it emphasizes the irreversible consequences that can arise from making the wrong choices and the importance of making wise decisions to secure a positive future.
The event was graced by the presence of FUTA's Vice-Chancellor, department heads, and esteemed dignitaries.
