REQUEST FOR NORMINATIONS FOR THE ADVANCED DIGITAL APPRECIATION PROGRAMME FOR TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS (ADAPTI) TRAINING FOR 2020

Introduction

Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) was set up by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to train the needed skilled manpower for the fast-growing information and communications technology industry in Nigeria. Since its inception, the institution has been involved in various capacity building initiative in the ICT sector as a means of driving the Nigeria economy.  Supported with funding from the Nigerian communications commission, one of the flagship programmes of the institute is the Advanced Digital Appreciation Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADAPTI).

The ADAPTI is a unique platform that targets Academic and Non-academic Staff of tertiary institutions for training in basic ICT office productivity tools, including the internet, use of e-teaching and e-learning facilities as well as collaborations in course delivery at no cost to the participants. It is a programme geared towards equipping senior members of staff of tertiary institutions with ICT skills thus enabling them to translate the acquired acknowledge and skill into improved teaching and work performance.

We are pleased to inform you that your school has been selected as a beneficiary of the ADAPTI for the year 2020. We therefore request that you make your nominations in respect of the programme and advise the institute as soon as possible.

ADAPTI Content

  • Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)
  • Internet and Microsoft Office Productivity Tools

Participation

The programme is targeted at all academic and non-academic staff that do not possess requisite computer skills. Staff who have participated in previous ADAPT training programmes should not be nominated.

 

Duration

The training will last for five (5) days for a batch of at least 100 participants, starting on a Monday and ending on Friday.

 

Finding

NCC through its subsidiary, the DBI will be responsible for the administration of the programme, including:

  • Course delivery
  • Course materials
  • Feeding and
  • Certificate of participation subject to performance in the End-Of-Training competency test.
  1. The beneficiary institution will, however, be responsible for:
  • Setup of training halls(attached)

You are to nominate One Hundred and Ten (110) participants to this training scheduled to hold at your institution. Kindly indicate in your reply a preferred date for this training.
