FUWAPE PREACHES PEACE AT CONVOCATION JUMAT SERVICE


The Vice Chancellor, Professor Joseph Fuwape, has emphasized the need for members of the FUTA community to embrace peaceful co-existence for the good of the institution. He gave the advice at the special Convocation Jumat Service held on the 13th December, 2019 at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) mosque. Professor Fuwape said, for any nation or community to develop and excel, the knowledge and practice of peaceful co-existence must be its watchword.  He commended the Clerics of FUTA Muslim Community for doing a good job at ensuring that peaceful co-existence within the campus is sustained.  Speaking earlier the Chairman, Muslim Community, Professor Ishaq Amoo represented by Alhaji Ali Ahmed thanked the Management for its continuous support and identifying with them.  He said the FUTA Muslim Alumni has contributed in no small measure to the development of the FUTA Muslim community.  Alhaji Ahmed said past and present Management have been stretching the hands of fellowship to the development of the FUTA Muslim Community and for that they are grateful.

He prayed for the graduating students to meet with Allah’s favor as they move to another phase of life and admonished them to always give back to their Alma-Mata.

Rendering prayers for the graduating students , the Chief Imam of FUTA Mosque, Dr. Abdu Gafar Oniyide  prayed  that  the light of Allah will shine all through them and they would impact the society for good through the knowledge they acquired in the course of their study in FUTA.
