FUTA Students’ Union Endows Award for Best Graduating
The Federal University of Technology Akure Students Union, FUTASU has instituted an award to be presented to the best graduating student of the institution every academic session. The award according to FUTASU President Abejoye Adegoriola , with a cash prize of N50,000 was instituted to encourage excellence among students and to reward exceptional students , “ in our own little way.”
For the 2023/2024 Academic Session AJAKAYE Oluwasegun Joshua of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with CGPA : 4.95 was presented with the a plaque and a cash prize of N50,000 during the convocation ceremony which held on Friday November 29,2024.
For the 2022/2023 Academic Session there were two joint winners in Faromika Ifeoluwa Faith of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Vitowanu, Johnbull Anuoluwapo of the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering. Both of them with CGPA: 4.96 shared the N50,000 Cash prize .
The presentation was made on behalf of FUTASU by the President, Abejoye Adegoriola.
