17 Professional Secretaries Bag Fellowship


Seventeen Professional Secretaries from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), have returned from the Annual Conference of the Chartered Institute of Professional Secretarial Staff of Nigeria, CIPSSON, in Benin City, Edo State with the prestigious title of Fellows. The conference held between Monday, 7th and Friday, 11th October 2024.

The 17 Fellows from FUTA now stand among the elite professionals within the sector, bringing additional prestige to the Institution.
Presenting themselves to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, on Wednesday, 16th October, 2024, the Fellows, led by the President of FUTA’s chapter, Mrs. Bunmi Ajayi, expressed appreciation for the support of the University. Mrs Ajayi expressed delight at the accomplishments of the delegates, underscoring the significance of their new status as Fellows and how it positions them to contribute more effectively to the University's administrative framework.

The President, on behalf of the newly honored Fellows expressed their gratitude and affirmed their commitment to further enhancing the administrative efficiency of FUTA.
Professor Oladiji, in her response, commended the delegates for their hard work and dedication, which earned 17 of them the fellowship of their Association. She expressed her pride in their achievement and urged them to lead the pack in their fields with the added honor. She said, “It is a privilege to welcome and commend our distinguished delegates for their remarkable achievement. Being conferred as Fellows of CIPSSON is no small feat, and it speaks to your dedication and professionalism. This new honor elevates not only your individual profiles but also our Institution. I encourage you to use this platform to lead by example, inspire your colleagues, and contribute to FUTA’s continuous growth and excellence in administration. Together, we can reach even greater heights."

The Vice Chancellor encouraged them to use the honor as a stepping-stone to greater leadership and service, not just to FUTA but also to the larger society while reiterating her support for professional development and continuous learning.
