FUTA Pro-Chancellor, Senator Nora Daduut, Bags Fellowship


The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA , Senator Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut has been conferred with the Honorary Fellowship of the University French Teachers’ Association of Nigeria (UFTAN) .
Daduut, a professor of French, previously represented the Plateau South Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly.
The conferment took place during the 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of UFTAN, in Jos, Plateau State.

The National President of UFTAN, Prof. Mufutau Tijani, said that the award was in recognition of Senator Daduut’s significant contributions to the development and growth of the organization and French studies in Nigeria.
“Senator Nora Daduut’s remarkable journey in the teaching profession spans over four decades, and her unparalleled contributions to both the teaching profession and the public sector are top-notch,” he said.

In her response, Senator Daduut expressed her gratitude to UFTAN, describing the recognition as a pleasant surprise. She said, “I was just doing my job as a teacher, not knowing that someone somewhere was taking note of my support.”
Senator Daduut bagged the fellowship alongside Prof. Doris Obieje, Prof. Austin Moye, Prof. Joseph Obinaju, and Prof. M. Iwuchukwu.
