The leadership of the Man O War Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA command changed hands on Saturday 14th September 2024.Patriot Oluwaleye Iyanu the outgoing Coordinator in Chief handed over the baton to Patriot Obasi Ifeanyi Stanley to steer the affairs of the Command for the next academic year at the 36th investiture and passing out parade.
Giving an account of his stewardship, Patriot Oluwaleye said "Each project undertaken is a testament to our collective passion and commitment of every member of Man O War FUTA. Our accomplishments during the academic year include self defense training, skill acquisition programs , establishment of OSUSTECH command, digital base management , acquisition of ceremonial wears , hosting of camp, hosting of f billboards, acquisition of site documents and recruitment of new members ".
Oluwaleye implored the incoming leaders not to relent in rendering selfless service to FUTA community. He said " as we pass the baton to the new leaders, I urge you to embrace this new responsibility with vigor and honor. You inherit not just a position but a tradition built in sacrifice, service and resilience. Your dedication will shape the future of our beloved club. I relinquish the leadership position confident that our efforts will be carried out by those who follow . Together let us continue to march forward driven by the noble principles that define us" He commended the university management led by the Vice Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji for their continued support to the club.
He said " FUTA management has provided an enabling environment for secular activities to thrive. We are indeed indebted to the leadership of the institution for the opportunity to engage in wholesome activities that are not purely academic in nature" The Vice Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji represented by the Dean Student Affairs, Professor David Oke said the officers passing out have contributed their own quota to the development of this university and the student body. They have delivered on their mandate creditably and their labor will go a long way to inspire others.
I urge the incoming officers not to rest on their oars in community service and dedication to duty. Work in synergy with the Student Union and other groups on campus to promote an inclusive environment for all students ". The Review Officer and Chairman of the occasion, Professor Yemisi Adeparusi commended the Man O War for their resourcefulness in building the nation and the university community. She said " you have to be known for something wherever you are. You are either belong to those who are lifting or those who are tearing down. We appreciate you for being among those who are lifters. Seek guidance always from worthy mentors so that you will not make avoidable mistakes. Walk in the path of those who have gone before you and you will excel" In his remarks the new Coordinator in Chief , Patriot Obasi Ifeanyi Stanley promised not to let the university management down and assured of the continued commitment of the club to the growth and development of FUTA.
