FUTA Principal Officers , Officials Welcome Pro- Chancellor, Council Members
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji on Sunday August 18, 2024 led principal officers and other officials to formally welcome the new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, Senator Nora Ladi Daduut and other members to the University. It's their first official visit after their Inauguration by the Federal Government on July 4, 2024.
The Vice Chancellor described the New Council as a "prayer answered" for FUTA because of their sterling antecedents especially as the leader of the team is a Professor from the Nigerian University System. She praised the council members for their deep understanding of the Nigerian University system and the law, stating, "I have no doubt that they will contribute significantly to moving the institution forward."
Professor Oladiji also commended the new council chairman, Senator Professor Nora Ladi Daduut, describing her as a "motherboard" that everyone can connect with
Responding, Senator Nora Ladi Daduut thanked the FUTA community for the warm welcome and attributed the university's ranking as the best University of Technology to the hard work and dedication of the university community. "Your work speaks for itself, even when you're not making noise about it, your achievements are evident for all to see," she said.
She assured that she and her team would do everything within their power to contribute to moving the university forward.
The principal officers of the university, members of the council affairs office, and the directorate of corporate communications and protocol were present to welcome the new council members.
The new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council , Distinguished Senator Nora Ladi Daduut , is a Professor of French Language of Plateau State Extraction who served in the Upper Legislative Chamber between 2019 and 2023.
Others members are : Pastor Sikiru Adebayo Raji, from Oyo State , Hon. Sylvester Ogbonna , Ebonyi State , Hajia Rafaatu Garba Hammani , Kebbi State and Rt. Hon. Kenneth Olawale a former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
